Our volunteer opportunities help you support those in need right here in our community!
Share the Table relies on wonderful volunteers to help us fulfill our mission of feeding the hungry and the lonely, individuals and families alike. We believe it is critical to build a strong community awareness program involving significant communication and coordination with other churches, community organizations, businesses, and our citizenry to address our neighbors’ needs.
We are blessed with volunteers who help with community meals (setup, cooking, cleaning up), the food pantry (unloading, sorting, helping clients), and the backpack program (packing bags, delivery in the summertime). We have many different volunteer opportunities that can be suitable for those in any age and stage of life, including simply helping us spread the word of our mission and goals. Our plan includes developing a community task force to assess overall needs, as well as addressing those needs in a collaborative effort.
If you are interested in helping increase community awareness or other volunteer opportunities in our program, we want to hear from you. Our volunteers help with such things as:
- Food Drives– Help us run a food drive in your community.
- Adopt a Shelf- A person/business agrees to keep a specific shelf filled in our pantry. They can bring food as often as they like. For example, if you choose to be responsible for the canned green beans, you can restock that daily, weekly, or monthly. There is not a set amount of frequency.
- Serving on Committees– Our committees are in charge of fundraising and marketing / advertising. We always need extra help with these efforts!
