Give in a purposeful way with our adopt-a-shelf program.
Food insecurity can happen to many different people—and finding out who some of these people are might even surprise you. When there is not enough money or food to keep other costs and issues at bay, sometimes a household is unable to provide enough or the right variety of foods that enable a more active and enjoyable life. We want to help those who worry about food, the most basic of necessities, and ensure that our community members are always able to get a meal or food donation when they need it most.
We rely on many generous people to help keep our food pantry going, and many more want to help. When you take part in the adopt-a-shelf program, you have ease and flexibility in your donations. The first step involves “adopting” your shelf. This is where an individual or a business chooses a shelf in our food pantry that they would like to keep stocked. You then can bring in the food item for that shelf on a timeline that works for your schedule, be it daily, weekly or monthly. Whether you choose green beans, canned corn, or another shelf to fill, you can bless the lives of members in your own community.
