We couldn’t be more excited to be in our new facility and it’s all thanks to you, our Hunger Heroes!
The new building, located at 21 Perkins Road in Hampstead, opened for clients on August 20. We held our official ribbon cutting on August 27 and are now fully operational, serving our neighbors with expanded services and new programs.
We now have a commercial grade kitchen, ample space for our warehouse and food pantry, and a comfortable place for our neighbors to join together for a community meal each Sunday. Our new facility has also enabled us to host the Pender County WIC, Pender County Health Dept., Onslow County NC Cooperative Extension, and Pender County NC Cooperative Extension, as we educate our neighbors on good nutrition, shopping on a budget, and healthy options.
